Halloween: Hallo-Wine & Pumpkin Decorating Party

Halloween is nearly here and if I wasn’t in Europe I would throw an afternoon wine and pumpkin decorating party with my girlfriends. This holiday is one of my favorites; it celebrates fall, heralds in the winter holidays and brings a cozy feeling to everything we do. As I’ve gotten older {“more sophisticated” ;)} I like to show my Halloween spirit in little ways with fall-scented candles, pumpkin-themed foods, candy corn indulgences {can’t resist!} and a get-together with friends. A Hallo-Wine themed afternoon is just the way to bring everyone together, get a little crafty and sip your way into fall.

This BYOP {pumpkin} party is easy to put together; get a few crafty decorating pieces {glitter, lace, rhinestones, gold leaf, glitter paint, lace, beads, rhinestones, pearls, sequins, and paint {chevron pattern is always a favorite} to create a some fashionable pumpkins.

As for the eats? Wine always calls for cheese, grapes and chocolate, but I’d add some pumpkin-flavored and fall-influenced foods too.¬† My favorites include a Trader Joes easy to make pumpkin bread mix that I enjoyed way too much last year, along with¬†butternut squash flat bread and carrot cake cookies. I’d love to know if anyone throws this wine-influenced Halloween party! Have a great weekend!
