Gluten-Free Homemade Pizza

For over three years I’ve been unable to eat bread…or pizza. Now, I can take it or leave it when it comes to bread {unless it is a croissant in Paris}. But pizza? I looove pizza so I really missed out on it until finding the easiest, yummiest gluten-free homemade pizza dough recipe ever.

I truly had no idea it was this easy to make pizza dough or I would have been doing this for the last few years instead of just a few weeks ago when I discovered this recipe. I’ve now made this easy-to-make pizza dough 3 times. From start to finish {including toppings} the pizza is done in under an hour. Seriously, it’s that easy and this recipe is the best tasting homemade pizza dough I’ve ever had outside of Chicago pizza.

2 cups Gluten-free flour {I prefer Bob’s Red Mill}
1 envelope yeast {1/4 ounce}
2 teaspoons xanthan gum {Bob’s Red Mill}
1 teaspoon sugar {I prefer Sugar In The Raw}
1/4 teaspoon salt {I use sea salt}
2 tablespoons oil {I use extra-virgin olive oil}
1 & 1/2 cups hot water

{{How To}}
Mix the dry ingredients together
Add in oil and water {mix well}
Let the dough sit for a few minutes
Spread the dough on lightly oiled pan {I used a non-stick cookie sheet since I don’t own a pizza pan}
Pre-heat the oven to 425, then bake for 20 minutes
Remove from the oven and add your toppings
Bake again in the oven at 425 for 15 minutes {or until the crust is golden brown}
VoilĂ !

I made a Mexican pizza each time with seasoned ground beef, chopped green peppers and red onion with cheese on top. After the pizza was done baking I topped the pizza with sour cream and Mrs. Renfro’s Salsa.

    Great recipe! The gluten free all purpose flour takes the hassle out of making the crust.
